Today in class, we worked on Worktext pg. 220 and completed "Balancing the Checkbook."  Homework for tonight is Pg. 215 # 5-16, 21-36.

December 14 - 15, 2010

The students will be taking the midterm and afterwards, they will work on an Algebra Poster.  Homework for 12-14-10:  Pg. 45 # 35-43.  Homework for 12-15-10:  Pg. 142 # 1-6, 9-14.

December 13, 2010

Today in class, we reviewed the quiz from Friday.  We reviewed for the midterm.  Homework for tonight is Pg. 65-66 # 33-51.

December 10, 2010

Today in class, we took a test over simplifying and evaluating algebraic expressions and equations.  There is no HW assignment other than study for the midterm, which will be given on next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Today in class, we learned how to identify and combine like terms in order to simplify algebraic expressions.  This is lesson 1-9 in the math book.  Tonight's HW is Worktext pgs. 12-13.

Today in class, we covered translating word phrases into math (algebraic expressions).  This is lesson 1-8 in the math book.  Homework is Worktext pg. 8.

Today in class, we learned how to evaluate algebraic expressions.  This is Lesson 1-7 in the math book.  Homework for tonight is Worktext pg. 5.

Midterm

The 7th grade math midterm will be administered on December 14 and 15, 2010.  Study, study, study because it will be comprehensive, covering information since the 1st week of school.
