April 11 - 15, 2011

The students will be grouped to complete a project entitled:  “Entrepreneur.”  This week, they will complete Part 2:  "Being a Boss."   The students will be applying for a grant by completing different tasks to determine whether or not they’re capable of running a business.  The tasks involved will require the students to apply the GPS taught during the year in a real world setting.  This is a fictitious project, meaning the students will not be applying for a real grant or receiving any money or starting an actual business.

HW for 4-11-11:  Research a company that went out of business and tell why that company went out of business.
HW for 4-12-11:  Bring in a business article that deals with employees' salaries.
HW for 4-13-11:  Research a company's profits and losses.
HW for 4-14-11:  Research a company that is doing well financially and tell why you think that it is doing so well.
HW for 4-15-11:  None

April 4 - 8, 2011

HW for 4-4-11:  Research a company and find out how they decided on a name, slogan, and logo.
HW for 4-5-11:  Bring in a business article that deals with math.
HW for 4-6-11:  Research a company that you would want to work for and write a paragraph telling why you want to work for that company.
HW for 4-7-11:  Research a company that went out of business and tell why that company went out of business.
HW for 4-8-11:  None

This week, we are learning how to identify and graph direct and indirect variations, sketch and describe cross sections, construct bisectors,  congruent angles, parallel and perpendicular lines, and line segments, and reviewing proportions.  There will be a quiz on Friday!
